Stuff – High-speed photos

Series of six high-speed photos of bullets impacting with objects. Based on the simple idea that no matter how alluring or beautiful a product may seem, it is even more beautiful at the moment it is destroyed. It might also be a reminder that everything is just moments away from falling apart: That beautiful plate, this toy, you and I.

Each photo printed with archival ink on acid free paper in five signed and numbered copies (that will fade, tear and crumble soonish). Size: 90 x 90 cm. Shot with a .36 Smith & Wesson and lit with a ca. 1/30.000 second sound-activated flash a moment after impact.
