Parasitsonetterne – Book cover (Gyldendal)

Martin Andersen’s Parasitsonetterne (The Parasitic Sonnets) derives its name from the book’s parasitic relationship to one of modern Danish poetry’s seminal works, Inger Christensen’s Sommerfugledalen (Butterfly Valley), generating computational poetry from it.

The dust jacket (above) features a butterfly with a mechanical attachment: an illustration of the book as a technical parasite on Butterfly Valley. The hard cover (below) shows one of the book’s many diagrams, using the color palette of the dust cover’s butterfly.
